THE ARTFUL WAY

The Artful Way, located in Asheville’s River Arts District, is a mixed use project, with residential units over structured parking. The site plan allows for automobile access and egress from below while maximizing the allowable zoning height requirements to provide density on an under-utilized sloping site. 

The project contains 27 boutique hotel rooms with kitchens and 34 studio apartment units with retail space and a lounge area, taking advantage of the elevated site to provide views of the French Broad River. The design is playful and modern, featuring vibrant pops of color on a corrugated metal facade to pay homage to the area’s industrial history.
