OLD HAYWOOD FILLING STATION

Originally built as Gasperson's Grocery & gas station back in 1958, when the surrounding area was mostly farmland, the Haywood Filling Station is now a community hub serving coffee, beer, and wine to Mills River locals. Layers of past remodels were peeled back to expose wood floors and beams to create a backdrop for the new bar and seating clad in deep blue paneling. A new deck was added to back to create outdoor seating overlooking a creek.
